Wadsworth Avenue Elementary Home

Wadsworth Avenue Lion Leaders are "Roaring" to success. Our school has been the heart of the community near Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and Central Avenue since 1912. Our school mission is for students to receive a rigorous standards-based, technologically driven academic curriculum. We cultivate emotionally and socially sound citizens by providing differentiated instruction ultimately producing contributing members for the 21st century. We offer each student the ability to learn these skills through student to student collaboration and problem solving tasks. Our school is fortunate to provide each student with a device that enables them to learn 21st century skills through the use of technology. We have created an environment that is welcoming and safe for the entire school community. We are a Restorative Justice community who truly believes that the power of kindness, compassion and forgiveness creates citizens who will be productive in their community.
